Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo left Thursday to attend the 15th Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders'Meeting in Sydney, Australia.
Arroyo left on board a chartered flight of Philippine Airlines at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The Philippine president is scheduled to attend a lunch hosted by U.S. President George W. Bush for leaders of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries, according to officials of the Malacanang presidential palace, who said Arroyo and Bush will hold a 20-minute meeting separately.
She is also scheduled to meet delegates of the Global Filipino Networking Conference, the Filipino community in Sydney on Friday, as well as some Australian business leaders, said the sources.
