Turkey is uneasy over reports that Israeli aircraft may have violated Syrian airspace, local NTV reported on Friday.
Such incidents can cause tension at a critical period in the region and Turkey hopes all involved parties can act calmly, a Foreign Ministry spokesman was quoted as saying.
Earlier on Thursday, Syrian officials claimed that up to five Israeli aircraft had entered its airspace and carried out a bombing raid, though no damage or casualties were caused.
Damascus also said that its anti-aircraft batteries had opened fire on the Israeli planes.
The supposed violation of Syrian airspace took place in the Tall Abyab region, close to Syria's border with Turkey.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other officials have denied suggestions that the Israeli aircraft may have taken off from a base in Turkey.
Planes of the Israeli air force regularly train in Turkey, but Turkish officials said Thursday that the last such exercise concluded more than a month ago.
