Italian Interior Ministry said Monday that security in the country has been bolstered for the sixth anniversary on Tuesday of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.
According to reports from Italy's ANSA news agency, the Interior Ministry's department for anti-terrorism strategy analysis (CESA) said that although no specific threats had been received, law enforcement agencies had been advised to increase surveillance around "sensitive" targets.
These targets included certain embassies, consulates, airline offices, train stations and airports.
