Indonesia will bring a seven- point agenda for discussion at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) it will host in December this year, a spokesman said on Monday.

The seven-point agenda deals with adaptation, mitigation, clean development mechanism (CDM), financial mechanism, technology and capacity building, reduced deforestation and post-Kyoto protocol, said Daniel Murdiyarso, the editor of the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report.

The time had come for policy makers to pay attention to the problems of adaptation to climate change that had happened to their respective citizens, he said.

"After passing through the adaptation process, we must conduct a mitigation process which serves as a response to or control of the problem of climate change," Daneil was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying.

He said the issue of technology and capacity building was aimed at encouraging advanced countries to transfer their environment- friendly technology to developing nations.

The UNFCCC, to be held in the resort island of Bali on Dec. 2- 14, will also be participated in by observers from government organizations, non-governmental organizations and the media.
