Guatemalan Presidential candidates Alvaro Colom, social-democrat National Hope Unity, and Otto Perez, right-wing Patriot Party (PP), will be protagonists of the sixth 2nd-round election on Nov. 4.
Guatemala's Supreme Electoral Court said on Monday that after counting 96.53 percent of the votes, Colom had 28.36 percent and Perez had 23.73 percent.
As neither one of them had obtained 50 percent of the necessary votes to win the Presidency in the first round, they will have to face each other on Nov. 4.
Official party Great National Alliance candidate Alejandro Giammattei obtained third place with 17.12 percent of the votes.
