An earthquake with magnitude of 5.2 rocked eastern part of Indonesia on Tuesday, no report of casualty or damages, Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said here.
The quake jolted at 04:56 Jakarta time (2156GMT Monday) with epicenter at 114 kilometers northwest Ternate of North Maluku province and at 33 kilometers in depth, an official of the agency said.
Indonesia is laid on a vulnerable quake-hit zone, where two continental plates meet that cause frequent seismic and volcanic movements.
