Bhutanese refugee killed in eastern Nepal

A Bhutanese refugee was killed by an unidentified armed group in eastern Nepal on Monday night, reported local media house's website nepalnews.com Tuesday.

The report said a gang of 20-25 armed people killed Lok Nath Katel, 47, of Beldangi-I Bhutanese refugee camp situated some 320 km southeast of Nepali capital Kathmandu.

The attackers, who fled after the incident, said they were from Damak. The intention of the murder has not been known yet. The police have beefed up security in the camp after the incident. Nobody has been arrested yet.
