A helicopter of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) overturned without causing casualties during a landing in northwestern Afghanistan, an ISAF statement said Wednesday.
The helicopter overturned while trying to land during a mission in Ghormach village of Badghis province on Tuesday night, the statement said.
The mission was to recover two Afghan policemen who were seriously injured in a roadside bombing, it said.
A second helicopter safely landed and recovered the crew from the damaged helicopter and the two policemen, according to the statement.
No ISAF personnel were injured and there was no hostile activity during the incident, it said.
The incident is currently under investigation by ISAF authorities.
About 37,000 ISAF soldiers are being deployed in Afghanistan to fight militants and keep security.
