Jakarta governor declares to run for Indonesian presidency in 2009 |

Jakarta governor Sutiyoso on Monday declared that he would take part in the Indonesian direct- presidential presidential election in 2009.
He has background in military. His last position was as the military commander for Jakarta military command before he posted his current position of Jakarta governor ten years ago.
Indonesia to hold the second direct presidential election after ruled by a former dictator Soeharto for 32 years.
