Three people were killed and seven others injured in roadside bomb explosion in southern Baghdad on Thursday, an Interior Ministry source said.
A roadside bomb went off as a minibus carrying passengers driving by near a fuel station in the Za'faraniyah neighborhood in the morning, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast badly damaged the minibus, killing three people and wounding seven others aboard, the source said.
In separate incident, another roadside bomb went off in the morning near an Iraqi Army patrol in Baghdad's northeastern neighborhood of Seliekh, the source added.
The explosion damaged a military vehicle, wounding a soldier aboard and a civilian, he said.
Violence and sectarian strife claim the lives of dozens of Iraqis daily across the war-torn country, particularly in Baghdad, since the invasion of U.S.-led forces in 2003.
