Two Palestinian armed groups said in separate leaflets on Thursday that their militants attacked Israel by rockets and mortars shells.

Al-Aqsa martyrs Brigades, one of President Mahmoud Abbas Fatah movement's armed wings said in a leaflet that its militants fired one homemade rocket at the southern Israeli town of Sderout.

Meanwhile, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, a pro-Hamas militant group, said its militants fired eight mortar shells at an Israeli crossing point southeast of the Gaza Strip on the borders with Egypt.

Israel Radio reported that the rocket and the mortar shells felt at empty areas, causing no injuries or damages.

The two militant groups said the attacks on Israel "is to revenge for the daily crimes the Israeli army is carrying out against our people, and also to show that resistance against the occupation wouldn't stop."
