Five people were injured in an explosion which occurred in Turkey's largest city of Istanbul on Sunday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The explosion happened in a garbage can across Avcilar Istanbul Sea Bus pier, and five people including one police officer were wounded, according to the report.
It added the injured people were taken to Istanbul University Medical Faculty Hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities were quoted as saying that the explosion may happen when a remote-controlled bomb went off, adding that investigation is under way.
