A bomb went off in a playground in the northern Iraqi town of Tuz Khurmato in Salahudin province on Friday, killing three people, including a child, and wounding ten others, a provincial police source said.
"A bomb planted in cart of sweets and children's toys detonated in the morning in a playground in Tuz Khurmato town, during the celebration of Islamic festival of Eid al-Fitr," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Most of the wounded victims are children, the source added.
The attack came as Sunni Muslims in Iraq are celebrating the Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
It also came a day after the U.S. military killed 19 suspected al-Qaida militants and 15 civilians in a raid in the region of Tharthar Lake, northwest of Baghdad.
