Costa Rican rescuers said Sunday they had recovered the bodies of all 14 people killed by a landslide Thursday.
Daniel Gallardo, president of the nation's National Emergency Commission, said reconstruction work was continuing to reconnect the affected area in the Atenas canton with the nearby city of Grecia.
The landslide buried seven homes in Bajo Cacao, a village in Atenas in the northern province of Alajuela, Thursday.
Earthmovers have cleared almost all of the earth and rock from the landslide, Gallardo said, adding that the commission has also declared 10 other homes near the site uninhabitable.
Rescuers have now withdrawn from Bajo Cacao.
