Morocco's National Social Security Fund (CNSS) and its Mauritanian counterpart here Thursday signed an agreement aimed at providing medical cover to Mauritanian nationals, according to reports.
The agreement defines the procedures and conditions concerning the settlement of medical expenses provided to Mauritanians in 13 CNSS clinics in Morocco, notably in the cities of Rabat and Casablanca.
According to this agreement, CNSS of Mauritania commits itself to settle all medical expenses incurred by Mauritanian patients in CNSS clinics in Morocco.
During the signing ceremony, Moroccan Employment and Professional Training Minister Jamal Aghmani said the agreement will further encourage the development of cooperation relations between Morocco and Mauritania, while expressing the hope that it will also serve as a launching pad for the development of social services and cooperation between the two institutions.
On his part, Mauritanian ambassador in Morocco Chiakh Ould Ely underscored the importance of the agreement, saying it will benefit Mauritanian workers and enhance social bilateral relations between the two countries.
