Seventy two percent of Poles said they support Poland's EU membership, 6 percent stated the opposite, according a recent poll.

The poll shows that 17 percent of those polled in a TNS OBOP Polling center survey sent to Polish PAP news agency on Friday said the country's EU membership was neither good nor bad, while 5percent had no opinion on the matter.

Over two-thirds or 68 percent said that EU joining influenced Poland's situation, with 61 percent pointing to positive influence and only 7 percent considering it negative.

Meanwhile, 23 percent think the membership had no influence on the country's situation whatsoever, and 9 percent was undecided.

The poll was conducted between Oct. 4-8 on a representative sample of 1,005 Poles over 15.
