Premier Kim Yong Il of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will arrive here on Tuesday for a working visit to Malaysia, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
This will be Kim's first visit to Malaysia since assuming the office in April this year, the ministry said.
"The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen the existing bilateral relations and cooperation between Malaysia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in all spheres," it said in a press release.
The visit paid by Kim Yong Il will further enhance relations between Malaysia and the DPRK and open new areas of cooperation for the benefits of the two countries, it said.
