At least 21 people were wounded in afire broke out Sunday afternoon at a shopping mall in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, the official MENA news agency reported.
The people injured by the fire at the City Stars shopping mall were admitted to hospitals and some of them were later discharged in stable condition, an official of a local administration director Mohammed Kamel was quoted as saying.
The fire at the shopping mall in the Cairo suburb of Nasr City occurred at about local time 3:30 p.m. (1330 GMT) Sunday, an official of the fire department told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Fire fighters put out the fire that started on the 5th floor which accommodates the food court and cinema theatres in the evening.
The City Stars is a compound building, including three international hotels, a shopping and entertainment center, a medical center as well as office and residential towers. Source: Xinhua
