An earthquake rocked Metro Manila at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. It lasted less than 30 seconds.

The local television network said the employees in presidential palace Malacanang evacuated the second and third floors of the palace after the quake struck.

The Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology has not be reached by phone for details.
