The South Korean Defense Minister Kim Jang-soo arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday for three days of talks with his counterpart from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Kim Jang-soo traveled to Pyongyang on a chartered plane and was greeted by senior officials from the DPRK Ministry of the People's Armed Forces at the airport.
The inter-Korean defense minister talks, the first talks of their kind in seven years, are to be held under an agreement reached by the top leaders of the two sides at the summit early in October.
The talks are expected to cover the security situation in the West Sea (the Yellow sea) and security measures related to cooperation projects between the two sides.
