A suicide car bomb went off near Baghdad on Saturday, killing a civilian and wounding four others, an Interior Ministry source said.
The suicide bomber blew his explosive-laden car near the al-Madain Hospital in the Salaman Pak area, some 30 km southeast of the capital, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The area located along the main road from Baghdad to the predominantly Shiite south of the country. It has been the hot bed of insurgency and sectarian violence between Sunni and Shiite communities.
