At least two persons were killed and 40 others were injured when a passenger bus bound for Kilchowk from Gorkha fell down 100 meter below the road in Tanahun districtin western Nepal on Saturday night, THT Online reported on Sunday.

According to police, the two persons died while being rushed to a hospital.

As many as 21 persons are critically injured and undergoing treatment in Gadaki zonal hospital, Pokhara, some 200 km west of Kathmandu, while 19 others are undergoing treatment at Damuali hospital.

The passengers were returning home after having a picnic in Gorkha, the report said.
