Pakistani Foreign Minister Inamul Haque will pay a two-day visit to India on Dec. 7-8 to attend a regional ministerial meeting.
Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said Wednesday that Haque would represent Pakistan in the 29th session of Council of Minister of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) beginning Friday in New Delhi.
The two-day meeting will review the progress on the implementation of the decisions taken by the 14th SAARC summit held in April, 2007, and give further direction to the organization on various issues of common interest, the spokesman told a weekly press briefing.
Sadiq said that besides attending the meeting, Haque would hold bilateral meetings with his Indian counterpart Parnab Mukherjee and other participating ministers.
The spokesman said that no dates had yet been fixed for the next round of the Pakistan-India composite dialog but the foreign secretaries level talks between Pakistan and India would be held early next year.
He also said that India had notified Pakistan about ballistic missile test carried out by New Delhi two days ago. Source: Xinhua
