Three persons were injured in a late night shooting incident on Saturday at Helsinki, the capital of Finland, the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE reported on Sunday.
Two middle-aged persons and one taxi driver were caught in the gunfire at the Melllunmaki metro station. One of them is said to be in critical condition and is scheduled to undergo surgery, YLE said.
The local police have taken a 77 year-old man into custody in connection with the incident. The suspect apparently had a license to carry a hand gun and had no criminal background, the police said.
The murder motives of the suspect as well as the details of the incident are still unclear. The suspect was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the shooting.
