Greek trade union calls for mass participation in Wednesday's strike |

The Confederation of Workers of Greece or GSEE in an announcement on Monday called for a mass participation in the general strike on Wednesday in protest against the 2008 state budget, the changes in the social security system and privatizations.
GSEE expressed belief that the strike will be a complete success in the private, public and broader public sector.
The Athens Metro, trains and trams will operate from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time to facilitate the working people who want to take part in the rallies.
Several strikes have been launched recently by various groups of people against the government policies on social security and privatizations.
