U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will fly to Paris this weekend to attend a meeting of the Quartet of Middle East as well as a meeting of Palestinian donors' conference, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Wednesday.
Rice will be in Paris on Sunday and Monday to attend the meeting of the Quartet, or the United Nations, the United States, the European Union and Russia, McCormack said.
Meanwhile, Rice will also attend the international donors' conference held in Paris to help the Palestinians build their institutions and economy, McCormack said.
The United States hosted the Middle East peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland late last month to re-launch the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. Nearly 50 countries and international organizations attended the conference.
