The Panamanian Civil Aviation (AAC) is searching for a small aircraft which went missing in western Panama, an AAC official said on Monday.

The Cessna 172 aircraft, with a pilot and three passengers on board, disappeared from radar while flying from the Pacific island of Isla Seca to the town of Volcan in the heavily wooded Chiriqui province in Panama on Sunday, Victor de la Hoz, the official said.

The AAC and five private aircraft will restart their search on Monday after suspending their efforts on Sunday due to bad weather.
