A 12-story apartment building in a neighborhood in the northern Egyptian port city of Alexandria collapsed on Monday, causing casualties, the official MENA news agency reported.
The incident occurred in the Loran neighborhood in east Alexandria, some 220 km northwest of the Egyptian capital of Cairo, said the report.
Rescue teams consist of ambulance, civil defense teams and Armed Forces units rushed to the spot of the incident and the nearby area was cordoned off, it added.
