The Election Commission of Thailand on Tuesday announced the official vote counting results of the Sunday's general election during a press conference at the agency's headquarters in Bangkok.
According to the results, the pro-Thaksin People Power Party won 233 of all the 480 parliament seats, while its main rival, the Democrat Party, gets 165 seats.
The Chart Thai party has 37 seats, Puea Pandin Party, 24, Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana Party gets nine, Matchimathipataya Party has seven and Pracharaj Party has five seats. Source: Xinhua
