The Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) on Wednesday accused the United States of continuing its hostile policy against it, saying it is the main factor behind the escalating tension on the Korean Peninsula.
"Joint military exercises staged in south Korea by the U.S. bellicose forces... showed that there is no change in the U.S.'s hostile policy toward the DPRK," said the leading official newspaper Rodong Sinmun.
The DPRK also lashed out at the United States for speeding up the arms buildup in South Korea and surrounding nations.
"The U.S. bellicose forces' policy of aggression against the DPRK is the root cause of ruining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and a source of aggravation of tension and the outbreak of war," it added. Source:Xinhua
