Palestinian security forces arrested 14 members of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) as part of West Bank crackdown on the Islamic movement, Hamas said on Saturday.
The detentions took place in Hebron and Nablus towns, Hamas said in a statement sent to the media.
In June, Hamas took over Gaza Strip after routing forces loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah.
As a result, the pro-Abbas security launched a crackdown against Hamas members in the West Bank to block any attempt by the Islamic movement to take the West Bank by force.
