Indonesia's Health Ministry's Crisis Mitigation Center disclosed that the recent floods and landslides in Central Java and East Java have left 102 people dead and 21 others missing.
The victims consisted of 78 dead and 12 missing in Central Java, and 24 dead and nine missing in East Java, the center's head, Rustam S Pakaya, was quoted Wednesday by Antara news agency as saying.
In a written statement, Rustam said that the center has sent relief aid to the flood and landslide victims.
Meanwhile, it was reported that at least 23 people in Ngawi district, East Java, were killed in floods as Bengawan Solo river overflowed in the past several days. Most of the victims were elderly people. Source: Xinhua
