Three security forces soldiers sustained minor injuries in a suicide blast in northwestern Pakistan Monday morning, army spokesman Waheed Arshad confirmed.
A suicide bomber was stopped and blew himself up near the gate of the army base camp in Kabal Tehsil of Swat valley in North West Frontier Province, said Arshad.
Security forces cordoned off the affected area after the blast took place.
The security forces on Sunday moved towards the strongholds of militants after gaining control of several areas, local media reported.
The army started to conduct an operation against local militants in late November in Swat, aiming to clear the district of militants. Source:Xinhua
