Chief Japanese and U.S. delegates to the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula's nuclear issue on Monday reiterated their request for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) full and accurate declaration of its nuclear programs.

Japanese Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau Director General Kenichiro Sasae and visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill reconfirmed their common stance during a meeting held here Monday evening.

The two sides agreed to continue to work together for the Korean Peninsula's denuclearization process.

Hill told reporters after the meeting that the U.S. side began negotiations with the DPRK side in August, but has not received any information from the DPRK regarding its nuclear programs and facilities up to now.

He emphasized that the DPRK's declaration must be 100 percent full-scale.

Sasae said for his part that accuracy and content do matter in the requested declaration.

Hill, who arrived in Tokyo earlier in the day, is also scheduled to visit South Korea, China and Russia for consultations about the resumption of the six-party talks.
