A series of unrelated violent incidents have left nine people dead and six others injured in El Salvador, according to news Monday.
A group of gunmen killed three people and wounded three others in Santa Ana, according to police. Officers said it was a revenge attack by organized criminals.
In a separate incident in the city of Tonacatepeque, 16 km north of the capital San Salvador, an 11-year-old died in a drive-by shooting.
In the town of San Marcos, south of San Salvador, 16-year-old Juan Marco Quintanilla was murdered in a Sunday night attack.
In the western part of San Miguel, two young people were killed in an attack.
