A fire broke out at 52-floor Cyber World Building in Bangkok before dawn Wednesday, causing heavy traffic congestion in the area.
According to local radio reports, the fire broke out on the 17th floor at 3 a.m. (2000 GMT, Tuesday) and quickly spread to higher floors.
Dozens of fire engines took about an hour to control the blaze.
The building locates at the Ratchadaphisek Road intersection which is a major commuter route of Bangkok. The fire forced the police to close several road sections in nearby areas.
Deputy Governor of Bangkok Wallop Suwandee said the building was under construction so there was no one inside when the fire started. Initial reports also showed no one was injured during the fire. Source:Xinhua
