An Air Canada domestic flight made an emergency landing Wednesday at the airport of Canada's eastern city Halifax, but nobody was hurt, according to local media reports Thursday.
The Dash 8 aircraft had just left Halifax's Stanfield International Airport when the pilot informed the tower that the plane was experiencing a mechanical problem, Canadian Press quoted airport spokesman Peter Spurway as saying.
Emergency vehicles were immediately dispatched to the runway, and the plane landed safely at 6:49 p.m. local time (1049 GMT), 10minutes after alerting the tower about the problem.
The plane was heading for Fredericton, capital city of New Brunswick.
The nature of the mechanical problem remains unknown. Source:Xinhua
