Spain, France reach accord on fighting terrorism |

Spain and France agreed to create joint forces to fight terrorism during the 20th Spanish-French Summit held in Paris Thursday.
Spain's Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and French President Nicolas Sarkozy agreed to strengthen cooperation in fighting terrorism, including the adoption of preventive measures against actions by the Basque separatist organization ETA.
The two countries also agreed to further cooperate in cracking down on illegal drug dealing, as well as to enhance police and judicial cooperation.
Spain and France aim to promote the work of Frontex agency to reinforce the watch of border security of European Union members.
Both countries will also join efforts to create an agency to watch the maritime coasts of Maghreb and Western Africa.
