A Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip on Saturday warned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of making concessions for the benefit of Israel at the expense of the Palestinian people's rights.
"The Palestinian (National) Authority (PNA) is used to make concessions and is used to be shaky in front of the U.S. orders," Khalil al-Haia, a Hamas lawmaker, told reporters in the Hamas-run Gaza.
The PNA and Israel recently resumed peace talks in preparation to discuss vital final-status issues which includes the fateful points of the Palestinian principles.
The renewal of the negotiations comes after U.S. intervention to strengthen Abbas whose forces lost control in the Gaza Strip for the benefit of Hamas following fierce fighting.
"Abbas has to wake up from this illusion which he calls peace or negotiations," al-Haia said, adding that the Israelis will "draw him day after day until he gives up the rights of the Palestinian people."
