Two soldiers from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed and another one was wounded during operations on Saturday in southern Afghanistan, said an ISAF statement released on Sunday.
In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualties' nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
However, the statement did not disclose further information.
Moslty Canadian, Dutch, British and U.S. troops have been serving in south Afghanistan, the hotbed of Taliban insurgents.
The U.S. commander of NATO in Afghanistan General Dan Mc Neill predicted recently that militants would increase their activities through suicide and explosive devices in 2008. Source:Xinhua
