Pakistan's Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah said Sunday one of the two suspects arrested has confessed that he was an intending suicide bomber in the assassination of slain former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Kamal Shah told the private Geo TV on Sunday that Aitzaz Shah, 15, has conceded that he was a would-be bomber.

"There is yet no evidence that the other suspect belongs to any terrorist group, but they had some agenda of terror as heavy cache of explosive have been recovered from their possession," Kamal Shah said.

Two suspects, Aitzaz Shah and Sher Zaman, stated to be involved in Bhutto's assassination have been detained in Dera Ismail Khan in northwestern Pakistan and arms and ammunition have been recovered from there possession, according to local press reports.

On Saturday, police in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi claimed to have foiled certain planned suicide attacks and arrested some seven suspected intending suicide bombers. The authorities have also made arrests of a few more suspected terrorists from other cities of the country, including Sargodha and Mianwali, and foiled crucial bids of sabotage.
