Bomb scare at three municipal offices in Nepali capital valley

Nepali security personnel have vacated and sealed off three municipal offices in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday afternoon following telephonic warnings that bombs have been planted there.

The police and army personnel, including bomb disposal squads, are searching Kanthmandu Metropolitan office at Sundhara, Lalitpursub-metropolitan city office at Pulchok and Bhaktapur Municipality Office. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are the three cities located in Kathmandu valley.

According to local leading media group's website eKantipur, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and bomb disposal squad of the Nepali Army have been searching for the possible explosives.

The bomb scare began after a unanimous person called up the Ministry of Local Development at 2 p.m. (0815 GMT) and said that explosives were planted at all three municipal offices.
