Cuban leader Fidel Castro has said the United States (U.S.) President George W. Bush's most recent speech to the Congress was "the worst ever due to its demagogy, lies and complete lack of ethics."
In Fidel Castro's "Reflections of the Commander in Chief," published on Wednesday by "Granma" local daily, Castro criticized Bush's Jan. 28 report.
Castro said in his reflections titled "the antithesis of ethics" that Bush avoids all the thorny problems and does not make the least mention of the U.S. soldiers killed or mutilated by the war, when Bush talks about support for veterans.
Castro questioned the budget statistics handed over by Washington, and said Bush "got the wrong figures number" and said that Bush "deliberately entangles and mixes everything up."
"Bush does not mention one word of the millions of Palestinians robbed of their lands or expelled, subjected to an apartheid system," said Castro.
Castro criticized Bush's threats to Iran and his affirmation that the United States will defend its interests in the Persian Gulf.
"It really is not necessary for other press branches to report the United States President's speech; just let Bush talk. For people who know how to read, write and think, nobody can criticize the empire better than Bush himself," said Castro. Source: Xinhua
