A roadside bomb exploded near a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bus in northwestern Pakistan on Thursday, but no one was hurt, News Network International news agency reported.

Suspected militants detonated the explosive device through remote control near Nowshehra, a major city about 120 km northwest of capital, Islamabad, NNI quoted police as saying.

Three PAF personnel were in the vehicle when they came under attack on the main highway between Peshawar and Islamabad.

No group claimed responsibility of the attack.

Nowshera is an army garrison city which has witnessed attacks on security forces in recent months. A suicide bomber killed at least five people on Dec. 15 last year near the gate of an army school in Nowshehra.

Last month a suicide car bomber wounded five children on an air force bus carrying them to school near Kamra about 48 kms northwest of Islamabad.
