U.S. President George W. Bush will host North American Summit of Canada, Mexico and the United States in New Orleans on April 21-22, the White House announced Thursday.
The scheduled summit, the fourth of its kind since 2005, will focus on hemispheric and global issues, concerning security and trade initiatives, White House spokesman Tony Fratto said in a statement.
Bush made the similar announcement in his last State of the Union address on Monday night.
The decision by Bush will mark his commitment to help the Gulf Coast devastated by the Katrina hurricane in 2005, local media said. Source: Xinhua
