The Georgian parliament Thursday approved a new government at a special session, the Russian news agencies reported.
But opposition deputies did not take part in the vote, the Interfax news agency said.
On Jan. 21, newly-elected Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili nominated Lado Gurgenidze as prime minister and ordered him to form a new government.
The Georgian government has been reshuffled and restructured. It is composed of one vice-premier, five state ministers and 12 ministers.
Giorgi Baramidze retained his position as vice-premier.
Political scientists Temur Yakobashvili was appointed to state minister for reintegration.
Defense Minister David Kezerashvili, Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili and Finance Minister Nika Gilauri also kept their jobs.
Former State Minister for the Resolution of Conflicts David Bakradze now assumed the post of the foreign minister. Former Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili has been put in charge of the Georgian Intelligence Department.
