Afghanistan is seeking for international cooperation to delivery news faster, Malaysia's national news services Bernama said on Monday.
Much of the international media, especially from the European countries, reported Afghanistan from the different and bad angle like war, which was not true, Bernama quoted Rahimullah Samander, news director of Afghanistan's Wakht News Agency, as saying.
Afghanistan was progressing with much reconstruction of buildings, offices and highways, Samander said here.
Afghanistan expected other international journalists like Malaysians to go to Afghanistan to see the true situation in the country, said Samander, who is also President of the Afghan Independent Journalists Association.
He said that currently in Afghanistan, there were about 400 publications, 85 radio stations and more than 12 private television channels.
Wakht News Agency is a private news agency established last December and it is one of the three news agencies in Afghanistan, Samander said.
The news agency currently had 35 reporters in Afghanistan, he added. Source:Xinhua
