Israel to begin construction of fence at Egyptian border soon |

Israel will soon begin construction of a fence at the Egyptian border in both Eilat and Nitzana Border crossings, local daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday on its website.
Israel announced the plan after Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni met earlier in the day.
The trio also met with the military, security agency Shin Bet and Foreign Ministry officials to discuss a possible 250-million-U.S.-dollars budget cut in government ministries to help fund the construction of the above mentioned border fence, according to the daily.
