Nepali Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala Thursday reiterated his commitment to hold the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections on slated time for peace and stability.
Koirala said that he was committed to hold the CA polls on April 10 as all the problems gripping the country will be resolved through the elections.
Inaugurating Nepal Donor Consultation Meeting 2008 in the capital, Koirla said: "I am committed to hold the CA elections, as democracy is vital for peace and stability and election is vital for democracy."
Koirala also urged the foreign countries to assist in holding the CA polls on the scheduled date.
Around 150 representatives of nearly 50 donor agencies are participating in the two-day conference. During the meeting, there will be discussion and interaction among the international donor representatives and Nepali officials, political leaders among others, over issues including the development and peace process in Nepal.
