One protester was killed in clash between cadres of United Madhesi Democratic Front (UMDF) and police in southern Nepal on Tuesday, reported the local media house's website THT online.
UMDF cadre Jagadish Paswan, 19, was killed when police fired during the clash in Nawalparasi district, some 160 km south of Kathmandu.
Paswan was killed as police was forced to retaliate after the agitators attacked a local Police Post, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sushil Singh said, adding that the agitators set fire to two vehicles and a house belonging to former minister of State for Home Affairs Devendraraj Kandel.
The fire gutted the vehicles, police said, adding that the agitators also looted a revolver and a pistol from Kandel's house. Source: Xinhua
